Shumway Retreat

Each Summer for over 15 years we have had a Shumway Retreat. It started out as a long weekend in Logan Utah The year Courtney was born that was 1995. It has grown to a week of Shumway fun. In the past we have had homework to do reading books to discuss while we are at the retreat. This year our only homework was to read mom and Dads life history. We then played a game to see who knew the answers.

We have gone to powder Mountain 4-5 times for our retreat and it has always been fun. Kelli and Richard have a boat so we ski and one day we rent jetskis. It is always funny to see Grandpa Dale ride a jetski in his jeans. This year Dallen learned to ski.

We shared a condo with Deryl and his family this year. Before we went I made the girls matching nightgowns. They were very easy and reasonably priced to make. I found a tutorial for a pillowcase dress( they are everywhere online) I used fabric instead of a pillow case. They took about a yard of fabric($1.50 each) and 30-45 minutes. The girls looked so cute in them. The night I gave them to them they showed up to family prayer wearing them. Aunt Debby was a little disappointed that I did not make her one.

RockBand

Marisa loves to play RockBand. She thinks she is the best singer ever! It is funny to see how much she loves it and how she thinks she is one of the big Kids. Sometimes I think it is funny to hear her sing. She sometimes makes up her own words when she doesn't understand the real words.

Marissa is sure that when "Shane Kissme Jackson" was playing Rockband and sang Eye of the tiger. That he was singing to her and that is their song.

last Game of the Season.

2010 Varsity Lady Cavemen Lacrosse.
Nicole's Team Photo(not bad).

Nicole has enjoyed playing lacrosse this year. The sport is just getting started at the High School. Nicole was lucky to make the Varsity team and has really enjoyed playing. The team has had some good games. They have grown so much and hope to win the last game of the season today. I will be headed out soon to watch. I only wish it were better weather. Go American Fork!
Update: They lost the game but it was close. Nicole didn't play long but she did score one of the Six goals. It was cold but I am glad I went.

Everybody loves Leo...........

Leo is the newest member of our Family. He has been a great addition. With the rest of My Family (parents, brother and sister) having Bostons Leo is a little out numbered. Not only is he a diffrent type of dog but he is the only boy. He doesn't seem to mind I am not even sure if he knows he is a dog.
Dallen likes to sleep with Leo. Leo doesn't seem to mind. He even seems a little upset when I take him out of his room and put him to bed.
I think Marissa and Leo have the same hairdresser. They both always have hair in their eyes.
